Coutain and Tano revisit Sparrow’s influence on “Old Soul”

Coutain and producer Tano have released “Old Soul”, a recording inspired by Mighty Sparrow’s “Jean and Dinah”. Soca News reports that the collaboration arrived on 20 October 2026. The release places classic calypso in conversation with a contemporary Trinidad and Tobago sound as the next Carnival season approaches. Soca News also notes that the pair previously drew on Sparrow’s “Mr. Walker” for “Wedding Band”. Their latest collaboration offers listeners a starting point for exploring the earlier recordings behind a new song.
